Details

This 5" (125 mm) polyurethane backing plate with a 5/16" (24) threaded post is a direct replacement for the Original Dual Action Polisher.

Designed specifically to work with Shurhold's Award winning Dual Action Polisher.

5" (125 mm) polyurethane backing plate with 5/16" (24) treaded post

Quick release hook and loop system, works with most 5.5" - 6.5" (140 -165mm) Velcro style pads

Confirm that your polisher is OFF and UNPLUGGED. Using the wrench that was supplied with your polisher engage the backing plate nut and unscrew old backing plate. Reverse this process to screw on new backing plate.

Not happy

I bought a dual action polisher about 20 years ago and have used it sparingly once a year. The polisher switch failed to stay latched on within the first year (bad on me for not returning). Recently, the backing plate totally disintegrated during use. Build quality is pretty poor.

I had to replace my Dual Action Polisher Backing Plate because the Pads were not sticking to it any longer. My original one, that came with my Dual Action Polisher needed to be replaced - had it since 2018! The replacement was exactly like the original one and it was easy to install.
